NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Nights Pay: $1851/week Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate NICU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in caring for critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III or higher NICU and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates. * Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders and NICU protocols. * Monitor vital signs, ventilator settings, and lab results, adjusting care plans as necessary. * Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care. * Educate and support parents and families in newborn care, discharge planning, and ongoing health needs. * Document patient care and interventions accurately using Cerner EHR. * Participate in neonatal resuscitations and emergency interventions as needed. * Float as required to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only) to support patient care needs. Qualifications: * Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing * Current RN license in NC * Must Have: Minimum 2 years of recent Level III or higher NICU experience (required; 2+ years preferred) * Certifications Required: * NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) *
