Job Description

Barnhart Transportation is growing and looking for a full-time Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, focused, and fun team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily processing of billing paperwork submitted by drivers and ensuring accuracy of paperwork submitted
• Daily processing of A/P invoices and researching outstanding balances and credit balances
• High volume of data entry
• Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
• Requesting W-9 forms
• Working with drivers, dispatch, customers and accounting team
• Assist with front desk coverage as needed
• Other projects as assigned by manager

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 to 2 years of experience in A/P and/or Billing position preferred
• Experience in the transportation industry a plus
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently
• Possesses drive and initiative
• Strong attention to detail
• Contribute to a positive work environment

• 8 hour shift
